Mark commenced working in the Prosecutions section of the then Crown Law Office in 1975. Having studied at the University of Queensland and with the Barristers Board, he was admitted as a Barrister in 1982 and then admitted as a Solicitor one year later.
Mark began his career working in the areas of Family and Criminal Law but soon began to develop a special interest in Commercial and Property Law particularly matters involving the Trade Practices Act. Mark also developed an interest in the area of Professional Negligence.
Mark is a committee member of the Gold Coast Law Association assisting with professional development.
Mark has a high degree of experience and expertise in all of our core areas of Law.
Josh Roberts

Josh studied at James Cook University in Townsville, completing a Bachelor of Laws. After completing his degree, Josh relocated to Brisbane in order to complete his Practical Legal Training through the College of Law. Whilst undertaking the Practical Legal Training course, he commenced working as a law clerk at a firm in Brisbane, which specialised in Criminal, Family and Commercial Law. In late 2011 Josh relocated to the Gold Coast where he then joined Mark Treherne & Associates.
Josh was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2011. Josh is a current member of the Queensland Law Society, and holds a Queensland Practicing Certificate.
Josh has experience in assisting legally aided and private clients, working in all areas of the law that the firm deals in.

Megan Delmar

Megan graduated from Griffith University Law School in June 2010. She holds a dual degree of a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Megan completed her Practical Legal Training through the College of Law and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in April 2011. Megan practiced firstly as a trainee solicitor and then as a solicitor at a firm in South East Brisbane before joining Mark Treherne & Associates in November 2011.
Megan's practical experience prior to joining Mark Treherne & Associates was predominantly in the area of Criminal Law and Traffic Law however she also has some experience in Debt Recovery, General Litigation and Wills and Estates. Megan also participated in the Griffith University Innocence Project in 2010 where she assisted in petitioning to have the law changed to allow the re-testing of DNA evidence.
At Mark Treherne & Associates Megan is assisting legally aided and private clients in the areas of Criminal Law and Family Law.
Megan is a member of the Queensland Law Society, Queensland Young Lawyers Association and the Women’s Lawyers Association of Queensland.
Helen Treherne
Manager

Helen Treherne has been working part-time with Mark Treherne & Associates since 1994.
She has fulfilled various roles within the practice, providing administrative support, and assisting Mark in the management of the practice. Her employment experience spans the insurance, travel, retail and education sectors.
The knowledge and skills gained throughout this time have been underpinned by her attainment of a Bachelor of Business, with a double major in Administrative Management and Human Resources Management.
Danielle Lees
Legal Support & Accounts Payable

Over the past 8 years, Danielle has worked in multiple legal support roles on the Gold Coast, gaining experience in various areas of the law, including Conveyancing. Danielle commenced working with Mark Treherne & Associates in early 2010.
Danielle holds a Certificate III in Business Administration. She is a Justice of the Peace (Qualified) and has a current Blue Card and First Aid Certificate. Danielle is currently studying a Bachelor of Health Science through Endeavour College of Natural Health and is expecting to graduate in 2014.
Kate Scudamore
Legal Support Staff

Kate has worked in the legal industry since 2007 where she worked as support staff specialising in Family Law and Wills and Estates. Kate then moved to specialise in Conveyancing, working as a Conveyance Assistant. She also has experience working as a receptionist and personal assistant within law firms. Kate is the newest member of Mark Treherne & Associates, commencing in late November 2011.
Kate holds a Certificate II in Business Administration. Kate is also currently studying an Associate Degree in Law (Paralegal Studies) through Southern Cross University and endeavours to complete a bachelor of Laws in the near future.
